A growing experiment worth understanding
Fruit seeds
Try apple or apricot seeds as a patient learning project. Understand the uncertainty before choosing seeds or a nursery tree.

BEFORE YOU BUY
Your starting checklist
- Apple seedlings do not reliably reproduce the parent apple. If a particular fruit variety matters, compare grafted nursery trees.
- Fruit seeds may need cold-moist treatment before germination. Use instructions for the specific species and seed source.
- Plan for the eventual tree’s space, climate and pollination needs. Germination does not guarantee a fruit harvest.
